The Midlands Connemara Pony Breeders (MCPB) shall be governed by the rules and regulations of the Connemara Pony Breeders Society ( CPBS ) at all times.
The MCPB shall support the objectives of the Connemara Pony Breeders Society particularly in relation to the continued development and enhancement of the Connemara Pony.
All members of the MCPB shall be encouraged to become members of the Society.
Membership of the MCPB shall be restricted to the geographical counties of Westmeath, Offaly, Laois, Longford and Kildare.
The MCPB shall initiate and continue on a regular basis, an educational programme which shall address all of the following general areas.
Selection of Stallion.
Selection of Broodmare.
Substance, Quality and Conformation of Pony.
Nutrition, General Welfare and Health Problems.
Grassland Management and Parasite Control.
Preparation of Animals for Sale and Showing.
The MCPB shall co-operate with and support all of the members in relation to the purchase and sales of animals. In this regard every effort shall be made to avail of all potential customers or sellers by way of personal communication or information technology.
MCPB membership fee shall be Euro 20 per person per annum.
The MCPB Committee shall comprise of the following, Chairperson, Secretary, Assistant Secretary, Treasurer, Public Relations Officer and four other members. All officers to be elected / re-elected at the Annual General Meeting.
Membership of the MCPB shall only be obtained on the basis of a formal proposal and seconder at a members meeting and the perspective member shall be in attendance at the said meeting. Committee ratification shall be necessary.
The Annual General Meeting shall take place every twelve months. Only persons 18 years of age or over may vote at the A.G.M. or any other meeting.
Any Member who contravenes the rules, regulations or objectives of the Connemara Pony Breeders Society or the MCPB shall be liable to disciplinary procedures.
The foregoing may be amended at any time by the standing committee.
